Mad pow’ at Whistler

by admin on March 18, 2012

I’ve neglected this blog for some time but today the happy combination of powder at Whistler Blackcomb plus a new iPad to write on has prompted this post.

I spent the weekend checking out the incredible 1.4 meters of snow – that’s 4.5 feet of snow for our neighbors to the south – that has fallen in seven days.

For snow shoppers, this is a windfall drawing people from around the globe, along with the local school break crowd.

I met a woman on the lift who has just flown in from Australia. She has taken ski vacations in both the U.S. and Canada and she made a snap decision to come to Whistler after checking the North American resort snow reports.

A good decision – the snow is deep with more promised to be on the way.

Here’s a video posted by Whistler Blackcomb on the best of pow days.
